Through the enforcement of University policies such as the Honor Code, the Racial Harassment Policy, the Sexual Harassment Policy, and the Student Alcohol Policy, the office serves to promote a positive learning environment in which students may achieve their full academic and personal potential.Student leaders who serve within the Honor System and other student organizations learn specific skills such as group decision-making, conflict management, and analysis of complex information through training and advising by staff in the office. Through outreach and educational programs, sanctioning for policy violations, and consultation with Dean of Students Office staff, students learn that they are accountable for their actions within the University community. Additionally, the Office works to educate the entire University community, including faculty and staff, about relevant policies and ways of responding to student-related matters. The office also coordinates the Universitys response to crisis situations that involve students. Office staff frequently serve as liaisons between students, faculty, and other administrators or offices in many different situations. Learn More:
